The Beach House Hotel is a boutique luxury hotel offering ocean front hotel rooms overlooking Half Moon Bay. Each room offers a fireplace as well as a patio or balcony. All guests enjoy complimentary continental breakfast and parking. Learn more about the hotel amenities and services below.
General Information
Check-in at the hotel is 4:00 pm. If your room is ready early, we are happy to check you in. It's on a first come first serve basis. If you hope to check in early stop by the front desk.
Checkout is 11:00 am. You may request a complimentary 12:00 pm noon late checkout which is based on availability.
Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to arrival by 4:00 pm
When booking directly with the hotel we do not charge your card until check in. We do not collect a guest room deposit.
Please list the additional guests on your reservation or you may call the front desk to advise us of additional guests. All guests must provide an ID.
No check-in under 21 without prior agreement.
Yes, our Front Desk is staffed 24 hours a day.
You can modify or cancel your reservation online or contact the front desk at 650.712.0220. If you booked through a third party booking agency please contact them directly.
Pets are not allowed at the Beach House unless they are a registered service dog. There is no weight restriction. There is a daily $75 pet fee, per room, per pet with two pets maximum.
Smoking is not allowed on guest room decks or balconies or any indoor public spaces. We do provide a smoking bench away from the guest rooms near the beach access.
No, The Beach House Hotel does not charge any additional Resort or Amenities fees in addition to your room rate.

We offer 54 total rooms including Penthouse Ocean View, Ocean View, Partial Ocean View and Standard View rooms.
We do not have ADA compliant rooms, however we do have rooms with ADA features. Please call the Front Desk at 650.712.0220 to learn more.
No, we do not have connecting rooms.
We do have adjoining rooms available: these rooms are side by side and share a common door making a private hallway between the rooms that can be locked.
No, our rooms are Junior Suites with the living room separated from the bedroom by a waist high wall.
Our rooms have a king bed in the bedroom area and a queen sofa sleeper in the living room.
Note: some Standard View rooms have one queen bed and one sofa sleeper.
The Beach House does not have rollaway beds for additional guests. The hotel does provide Pac and Play cribs for infants.
Maximum occupancy is four guests to a room.
Yes, you may drop it off at the front desk.
Location, Parking, and Transportation
It's recommended that guests either rent a car or opt for a taxi/Uber to access the hotel and area attractions. We do not have a shuttle but can assist in arranging cab transportation back to the airport.

Self-parking is complimentary for all hotel guests and right on property. We do not offer Valet Parking.
We do not have a charging station. Next door at the Jetty beach parking lots there are public charging stations available.

The hotel is located on a 25-foot high dune and we have a staircase that takes you down to the coastal trail, Pillar Point Harbor and the beach right next to the hotel.

Each room is over 500 sq. ft. offering two bathrobes, down comforters, a fireplace, a patio or balcony with all guest suites, oversized bathrooms with double sinks and a separate tub and shower, two flat screen TV's, refrigerator and microwave, laptop compatible in room safes and a Keurig Coffee Maker.
Yes WIFI is included in your stay. We do not provide any streaming services.
No, we do not have a restaurant on site, however we have many in walking distance and others that will deliver meals directly to your room.
Yes, we include a complimentary continental breakfast daily.
Continental breakfast is served daily from 7:30 am - 9:30 am. Continental includes coffee, tea, fresh juice, milk, Danish, muffins, bagels, toast, fresh fruit, cereal, granola, hard boiled eggs and an assortment of homemade organic jams, jellies and peanut butter. You can enjoy your breakfast in the hotel lobby, outdoor Terrace Patio or the comfort of your guest room.

The hotel does not offer room service or have a mini bar. The hotel does provide for purchase local crafted beers as well as both red and white wine by the bottle.

We do not have a fire pit for leisure guests, however Sam's Chowder House next door does. Each guest room does have a wood burning fireplace.
Yes, each of the four meeting rooms offers natural light and a cozy fireplace. The Ocean Terrace Room provides views of the Pacific Ocean. The Terrace Patio and Rose Garden offer outdoor group function space. The 1,800 sq. ft. of total function space can accommodate from 10-50 guests comfortably.
The hotel does not provide a venue for weddings.
The hotel does not have a business center however feel free to contact the front desk to assist with any needs regarding shipping, copying documents etc.
The hotel does not offer laundry services. Green House Cleaners in Half Moon Bay offers dry cleaning services. In addition there is a laundry mat in downtown Half Moon Bay.
