Pumpkin Season is here and the entire town celebrates as the “Pumpkin Capitol of the West” with the Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival (Oct. 18-19). Beach House Hotel will celebrate throughout October with mini-pumpkins in all guest rooms and spicy pumpkin muffins with complimentary Continental breakfast. In addition, Spa Services at Beach House Hotel will offer a special Coastal Autumn Aromatherapy Blend (including cloves) for all single and couple’s massage clients in the hotel’s new Spa Room. Appointments are necessary for Spa Services and the blend will be available at no charge through Oct. 31.
Reader’s Retreat at the Beach House – with coastal fall weather, in-room fireplaces and five local bookstores in the area, Beach House Hotel is perfect for a Reader’s Retreat. Comfy beds and couches make it ideal for a relaxing read, with melodic fog horns nightly protecting nearby Pillar Point Harbor. Noted author/ suspense writer James Patterson’s novels will be featured this fall and winter. Patterson has been dubbed “the most borrowed author” of all time and Beach House Hotel has copies of his “Beach House” mystery and “4th of July” thriller which is set in Half Moon Bay, as well as other Patterson titles. Just ask for the Lending Library at check-in. The hotel also offers a listing of the five local (and treasured) bookstores available for those looking for new and used titles as well as regional favorites not easily found outside Half Moon Bay.
Guided Hikes and Walking Trails – with the Coast Side Trail just outside the Beach House, it is perfect for a fall walk along the ocean. In addition, hiking trails are abundant and the hotel has access to private guided hikes directly from the hotel. Reservations are required and available on an hourly rate. The hotel will provide a special herbal foot cream to ease any stress upon return when guests are ready to relax and enjoy the comforts of their guest room.
