Spend the Night & See the Evening on the Water in Half Moon Bay

Half Moon Bay, CA (June 16, 2008) – Comfy beds, ocean view rooms and the warmth of a friend’s beach cottage are all included in a stay at the Beach House Hotel Half Moon Bay. Now, an Evening Kayak Package includes an option to experience a little more excitement for guests looking for a great way to discover nature, the sea, and the world of kayaking in Half Moon Bay.

Pillar Point Harbor of Half Moon Bay supports abundant sea life including harbor seals, California sea lions and sea birds common to the area including brown pelicans, black-crowned night herons and elegant terns. The new Beach House Hotel Evening Kayak Package offers both a Sunset Paddle and Full Moon Paddle in partnership with Half Moon Bay Kayaking Co. (HMB Kayak) located just a short stroll north from the hotel at Pillar Point Harbor.

Sure to entice both the experienced kayaker and the novice, HMB Kayak, operated by two of the most experienced kayakers in Northern California, will provide wetsuits and waterproof paddle jackets, as well as guides. Guests just need to bring a synthetic sweater, shoes that can get wet, change of dry clothes, towel, and a sense of adventure for the ride. Kayakers will be able to paddle quietly in protected Pillar Point Harbor as they listen for barking sea lions, watch for sea birds, and slide across the bay in a safe and enjoyable three-hour ride. All paddles are led by the HMB Kayak staff. The experience is unforgettable.

Cost of the Evening Kayak Package ranges from Weekdays $356 - $444 (for two) and Weekends $548 - $669 (for two) with all kayaking costs included. Package rates vary based on room types including Standard View, Ocean View and Penthouse Ocean View rooms. Dates for each experience are listed below and reservations are required. . Rates are inclusive of taxes and exclusive of gratuities, do not apply to groups, are subject to availability and cannot be combined with any other offers.

Sunset Paddles are from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. every Friday night from May 2 – September 26, 2008. Dates for the three hour long Full Moon Paddle, with varying start times from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (depending on the month) are listed below:
