The Highway Tour

It's a quiet, overcast day as I pass fields of artichokes, flowers, and brussels sprouts in the hour or so drive to the Beach House Inn in Half Moon Bay. After Deetjen's I need the luxury. Clapboard and tan, the inn looks New England-y, with a spa, ocean views, and suites that make me feel like I'm house-sitting for someone with good taste.
